About the Health Care Transformation Task Force
Health Care Transformation Task Force is an industry consortium that brings together patients, payers, providers and purchasers to align private and public sector efforts to clear the way for a sweeping transformation of the U.S. health care system. We are committed to rapid, measurable change, both for ourselves and our country. We commit to having 75 percent of our respective businesses operating under value-based payment arrangements by 2020. Remedy Partners delivers software and services that enable payers, employers and at-risk providers to organize and finance healthcare delivery around a patient's episode of care. Tucson Medical Center, licensed at more than 600 beds, has been Tucson’s locally governed nonprofit regional hospital for more than 70 years. TMC is Southern Arizona’s leading provider for emergency care and pediatric care (including Tucson’s first Pediatric Emergency Department), with top-notch intensive care units for adults, children and newborns. We earned The Joint Commission's Gold Seal for Hospital Accreditation by demonstrating continuous compliance with the commission's performance standards. Key collaborations include our alignment with two Southern Arizona accountable care organizations (Arizona Connected Care and Abacus Health), membership in the Mayo Clinic Care Network, as well as a joint venture with El Rio Health in creating HealthOn Broadway, an innovative, integrated health center that operates in downtown Tucson.
TMC is a founding member of the Southern Arizona Hospital Alliance, which includes independent nonprofit hospitals from Tucson, Benson, Bisbee, Safford and Willcox. The alliance leverages existing relationships and enhances each of the members' unique strengths, while allowing us to improve clinical care coordination and access to a higher level of care throughout Southern Arizona.
